Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP): An immersive full-day workshop for
working with recent traumatic events

Zeynep Zat Ciftci, PhD is an EMDR Europe Accredited EMDR Trainer and Consultant in
the UK. She is a registered Counselling Psychologist with the Health and Care
Professions Council and a member of the Accreditation Committee of EMDR UK
Association. She is a board member of the EMDR Türkiye Association. She is also an
Approved Trainer for both the EMDR Recent Traumatic Episode Protocol (R-TEP) and the
EMDR Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP).
Zeynep voluntarily served as one of the supervisors for EMDR R-TEP to the therapist working with the Syrian refugees at a camp on the Syrian border of Türkiye as part of a humanitarian aid project with the EMDR Türkiye Association. She also served as a supervisor for Trauma Aid Türkiye's COVID-19 Project, which provided R-TEP to frontline workers and to those who lost loved ones to the pandemic. Additionally, she supervised groups of therapists utilizing R-TEP to support survivors of the Kahramanmaraş Earthquake, a tragedy in which approximately 50,000 lives were lost
